Bill Buchanan's Final Expenses

Edit: Because of the large outpouring of support for Bill and Candace, I have increased the goal of this fundraiser by $1000 so that we can get Candace on an even better start in this period of transition for her.  Thank you, everyone, for all your generosity!

Our friend, Bill Buchanan, died in a fire on the night of March 11th. His remains were found by Fr. Bernie Lindley the next morning. Bill had been struggling with health issues for several months prior to his death that made it impossible for him to get to the store. Many people were involved in making sure that Bill was getting adequate food and water while attempts were being made to get him into a long term care facility. 

This GoFundMe request is to pay for Bill's funeral home expenses and also to help get Bill's wife, Candace, into a stable living arrangement.  All of the money will be handled through St. Timothy's Episcopal Church in Brookings. 

Bill will be deeply missed by his family and friends as well as all of his Curry News and Views followers that appreciated his thoughtful approach to moderating the large volume of posts on that page.

May Bill's soul and the souls of all the departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
