Hi Guys,
On the 15th of March we lost our beloved Bill after what somewhat could be described as a fairly sudden deterioration of health complications. For anybody that was fortunate enough to have spent time with this amazing man you will appreciate his zest for life. It was seldom to see Bill without a big smile on his face or a long list of jokes that he was all so eager to share. He was so accommodating, generous and was like a second Father to a lot of us. Ever since we were young the generosity Bill showed all of us was second to none. The door to his home was always open to any of Aidens friends and the hospitality he showed all of us was unrivalled. The boats, the booze, the parties and most of all the wisdom and time he shared has made us all better people.
It also goes without saying the incredibly close bond Bill had with his only son Aiden, his daughter in law Charmaine, his beloved grandchildren and of course his adored wife of 54 years Karien. The family as you could understand are going through an incredibly tough time emotionally. The financial strain of the funeral, wake costs and lost income whilst they process this challenging period of their life will be significant. This is the last thing a family should have to deal with as an added strain to a tragic loss.
Given the Brownlee-Smith’s selfless generosity over the years, now would be a great opportunity to give back as it will certainly be needed now more than ever.
I want to make it very clear that Aiden and his family have no awareness or involvement in this fund raising whatsoever and we would like to not have any of the family find out until the day of the funeral. Arley, myself and a few others agreed it would be a great idea to give back to a family that has always given so much.
Regardless of the amount, every bit counts and you can remain anonymous with your donation so if you can spare anything it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys
