Bill Brewer Stem Cell Transplant

Bill and Susie will be heading to Moffitt Cancer Center for his stem cell transplant on June 6th. 

They will be in Tampa for 100 days, give or take a few (at the least 90 days total.) The first four days he will receive intensive chemotherapy. The fifth day will be a day of rest. The 6th day is what they call Day 0, this will be when they infuse the stem cells.  From that day the first 100 days are most critical. We need the stem cells to graft to his body and for his body to fight but not too much (Graft to Host). They say he will be very weak and may need transfusions of red blood and platelets during this time. 

When they get out of the hospital, they will be staying close to the hospital for the next 60 days.  They have to find housing for that 60 day period.  Please pray for the perfect affordable housing for them. All of this will be paid for out of pocket and the suggested cost from Moffitt is $86-$200 per night... approximately $7000 out of pocket just for housing on the lower end. They, of course, will also have other expenses including a $6000 insurance deductible prior to the procedure.

Please pray God will provide all of their needs, as all of this is going to be on top of regular expenses.   

Please pray that Bill's donor's procedure to give stem cells will go smoothly, that the donor remains healthy during this time and that their body will easily replenish their own supply quickly following the procedure.
