Support Bill as He Fights the Battle of His Life

Don protégé
There are few of us lucky enough to have found the person who will leave a lasting imprint on our soul.
Bill is my imprint.

To each of us, he might be a co-worker, a friend, or even family. Bill has battled and won more fights in his lifetime than most people face in two. But now, unfortunately, one more battle lies ahead.

Yesterday, Bill shared with me that he has been diagnosed with bone, kidney, and prostate cancer.
He is sick.
He is in pain.
He is scared.

Bill has given me permission to share his story, in the hope that it may save even one person from having to go through what he is now.

I’ve invited you here to offer whatever support you can. As hard as it is for him to admit this—he needs our help. Support can come in many forms: a phone call, a prayer, or a much-appreciated monetary donation.

Bill has been out of work for over a month. With no income, medical bills piling up, constant nausea, paralyzing pain, and the emotional toll of it all—any amount you can give will make a real difference.

Right now, Bill needs each and every one of us.
If you are unable to donate due to your own circumstances, please don’t feel bad. Truly—Bill appreciates the simple things. A heartfelt message or text of support is worth more than money to him. But the reality is: for Bill to make it through this, he will need financial support. That’s where we come in.

I ask everyone reading this to close their eyes for a moment.
Imagine sitting in a cold, white room after a doctor has just left.
You sit there—alone—trying to process what you’ve just been told.
You don’t have one cancer.
You have three.
Keep your eyes closed.
How would you feel?

Hopefully, none of us will ever truly know—but you can imagine: fear, anger, loneliness, defeat. These are emotions Bill is facing daily.

He needs our love.
He needs our encouragement.
He needs our shoulders to lean on.
He needs our help.

Please, open your heart.
Bill is someone we all know—someone we’ve laughed with, worked alongside, or shared life with. What he’s going through is unimaginable. But what we do know should be enough.

After today, Bill will be the only person with access to this page. He will be able to use the funds for whatever he needs, when he needs it. Every single dollar will matter.

I can’t speak for Bill—but I know, without a doubt, that your generosity and love will be the fuel he needs to keep going. Bill has a deep appreciation for kindness and connection. So don’t hesitate to reach out. Send him your love. Let him know he’s missed. It means more than gold to him.

He may be feeling incredibly alone right now. So if you have a message, a prayer, or any words of support—share them with him or post them here.

Bill asked me to share two things:
1. “Please share. If one person gets checked and doesn’t have to go through this, I win.”
2. After I promised to do my best to get this page up and going, “he said, “It may save me. Thank you.”

Thank you to each and every one of you who have found your way to this message.
I believe everything happens for a reason.
I hope you’re able to give Bill whatever kind of support you can.
That could mean something different for each of us.

Think about how you would want to be loved if this were your story.
Maybe it’s time to schedule that doctor’s appointment you’ve been putting off.
Laugh a little louder.
Hug a little longer.
Love a little deeper.
Whatever you do—do something.

Let’s help Bill win. No one is more deserving.

Lastly, to Bill—thank you.
You’ve had a profound impact on me in such a short time. I ask everyone I love: “What do you want to be remembered for after you die?” I’ve heard many answers—reliable, trustworthy—but the one that resonates most to me is inspirational. And Bill, you’ve inspired me.

In the most difficult chapter of your life, you’ve remained positive, grateful, and kind. You’ve shown me what strength, faith—and yes, even fear—truly look like. When I face my own challenges, I’ll think of you. I’ll remember your courage and your kindness.

Thank you for making a difference in my life.
I hope that by sharing your story, I can help make a small difference in yours.

With love always,
Bill’s Friend
