Bill and Rachel have housed Rachel's Mom since losing her house to the CZU fire. They have come across some hard times with both Rachel and her mother needing surgery and work being limited for Bill.

Rachel has worked as a Nurse in many specialties. She recently worked at a trauma hospital in Fresno, CA, where she cared for patients with COVID. It was the hardest job she's ever worked in. The hospital was overrun with COVID. Rachel had her first shoulder reconstruction in August 2021. She was unable to work for 6 months. During this time Bill and Rachel were using disability to live and for basic needs. She found out in February that the allograft that was used in the shoulder reconstruction of her shoulder has torn. She will now have to have another reconstruction and disability is used up and no longer available.

Rachel's mom also fell and broke her wrist and due to weather and inflation, work has become more increasingly difficult for Bill.
