Local beloved business owner passes away

Bill Carpenter, owner of Bill's Service and Repair, suddenly passed the day after Thanksgiving from a heart attack. For those of you that knew him, you know what a generous human being he was. For those of you that didn't know Bill, I would like to tell you a little about him. Bill was the type of guy that if your mother pulled into his shop because she thought her car sounded funny, he would take her car for a ride and see if there was something wrong, and if there was, he would fix it! He wouldn't ask how she was going to pay for it...he would fix it!
Again, for those of you that know Sharon, his wife, and Bill then you also know that Bill just sold the shop so that he could be there for Sharon as she underwent treatment for breast cancer. She just finished Chemo and is to start radiation December 11th. Without health or life insurance, like so many small business owners, Sharon could use help to cover the cost of the funeral. The services will be at McDonalds Funeral Home December 6th from 4 to 7 pm.
Anything you can give will help. These people are the foundation of our community and our country.
December 5th
I have been notified by Go Fund Me administration that because I have requested the funds raised to be released to me that they will not release the funds until I state the following publicly on this site:
1) I am a friend of Bill and Sharon Carpenter
2) The funds are being released to me personally and deposited directly into my personal bank account. I was advised to do this by the help line at go fund me so that I could write two checks. One to McDonald's funeral home and one to Sharon Carpenter for the remaining balance
3). I will be distributing the funds by personal check
