Hi everyone. My name is Cory, and my cat Bilbo is very sick. He has IBD (we're not sure which one yet), a liver infection from the good bacteria in his gut spreading up into his liver, and most of his teeth have to be removed because of an undiagnosed auto-immune disease. My husband and I have depleted all our savings and maxed out all of our credit cards. We tried to get him pet health insurance, but no one will take him or cover him because these count now as pre-existing conditions.

Bilbo is such a great cat! It took him awhile to get used to people, but once he did, he became so friendly, even with guests. I have a friend who regularly comes over for kitty therapy, and Bilbo loves it just as much as her. He wants as much attention and affection as you can give him, and follows me and my husband around wherever we are in the house. He's loud and persistent and normally full of energy.

Right now Bilbo is in the hospital. We're not sure if he's going to make it, but with more resources, we can hopefully give him several more good years, if not more. If he makes it home, we will take him and our other kitty, Sullivan, and go live with my mother-in-law, because we can't afford to pay rent.

If you're able to give, even a little, I would really appreciate it. Of course, right now is a pretty rough time financially for almost everyone, so I understand if this isn't possible. No worries, but maybe consider sharing this with other people; I'll gladly talk with anyone who has questions or who wants details.

Funds will only be used for Bilbo's care, not for anything personal like rent or groceries.
