Bilateral talipese surgery

Hello everyone. I found out yesterday(27th January 2026) that my daughter has been scheduled for surgery on both her feet in march (due to relapse with bilateral talipese) which means hee feet will both be cut and the tendons pulled from the front to the back, without being too technical it’s the easiest way to word it, she’ll be in casts for 6 weeks then full time splints, not really giving me any time or a chance to save funds for a wheelchair or the adaptions she needs in the home for her aftercare as the severness of her relapse means there’s no time for adaptions teams to come in so here I am trying.
LilyMae also has autism, social communication difference whilst also being none verbal so adaptions such as wheelchair, bed rails, hoist, bed table (for meals as she will be confined to one room for a while as the hospital said with her weight they can not advise me to be lifting her up and down the stairs as their so steep )
the original plan was that a team would come into our home and safe guard the property due to her extra needs but the operation is now in as top emergency after I’ve told them for months she is deteriorating but their so busy it seemed she got lost in the system!
the adaptions are needed as you can’t tell a child who doesn’t understand the dangers of her actions, she’s had two previous ops, casts, boots and bars and nothings worked as of yet but as she Was so young we didn’t have this issue.
Every child has different needs, some need this equipment some don’t so please no negativity we’re pushing to do all we can to give her the safest space in her aftercare.
thankyou all for reading xx
( all reciepts will
be kept after purchases and items will be donated to other parents when we have no use for them ) ❤️❤️
