I’m Jack Price-Harbach, I’m 36, I’m a keen cyclist and I’ve decided to put my hobby to good use for a good cause.
This February, my Grandad, Albert Seddon sadly passed away after 87 years on this earth. He was the best Grandad. He was kind, generous, and a wicked storyteller with a dark sense of humour. He loved nothing more than seeing us grandkids and his many great grandchildren.
However, in the last few years of his life, he wasn’t really the same person. My Grandad had vascular dementia. It is a cruel disease that robs a person of their soul. He spent time under 24/7 care from family, before eventually having to move into a care home. My Grandad was gone long before his body went, and that is why I want to raise money for our family’s chosen charity, the Alzheimer’s Society, to aid research in the hope of finding a cure.
That is why, on Sunday 6th July, I’ll be cycling from Liverpool to Chester then back to Liverpool again for the LCL Bike Ride. I’m taking on the 50 mile challenge, which will be by far the longest ride I’ve ever done to date.
If you can spare a few quid, and help me raise money for a good cause, the wider Seddon family and I would really appreciate it.
Cheers,
Jack
