Siamo Nicola e Marvin, due ragazzi con un sogno che ci accompagna da anni: attraversare il mondo in bicicletta. L’11 aprile 2026 partiremo da Lugano in bicicletta, verso est, con l’obiettivo di raggiungere Sydney.

Abbiamo deciso che questo viaggio può essere qualcosa di più di una semplice avventura. Vogliamo dare un significato più grande a ogni chilometro percorso, trasformandolo in un’opportunità concreta per aiutare altre persone. Per questo abbiamo scelto di sostenere l’associazione SEED of LIGHT e, in particolare, un impianto idroelettrico in Nepal, nel distretto di Panchthar.

SEED of LIGHT è un’associazione senza scopo di lucro fondata in Svizzera nel 2025, con l’obiettivo di promuovere uno sviluppo sostenibile e duraturo, nel rispetto degli equilibri sociali e ambientali. I suoi progetti nascono dall’ascolto dei bisogni reali delle comunità locali e vengono realizzati in stretta collaborazione con esse.

Il progetto nel distretto di Panchthar prevede la costruzione di un microhydropower da 7 kW che porterà elettricità e luce a 4 villaggi della regione, per un totale di 850 persone in 105 abitazioni. Il costo totale del progetto sarà di circa 30'000 CHF. Questi villaggi hanno richiesto il nostro aiuto dato che il governo non li ha mai raggiunti con le infrastrutture energetiche di base, lasciandoli in una condizione di isolamento e difficoltà. Grazie a questo impianto idroelettrico le comunità potranno finalmente accedere a un'energia pulita, affidabile e sostenibile, aprendo la strada a un futuro migliore per tutta la popolazione.

Con questa raccolta fondi vogliamo contribuire concretamente alla realizzazione di questo progetto e, allo stesso tempo, condividere il nostro viaggio con chi vorrà sostenerci. Ogni donazione è un aiuto concreto per trasformare questo progetto in realtà e portare un cambiamento nel distretto di Panchthar.

We are Nicola and Marvin, two young men with a dream we’ve held onto for years: to cycle across the world. On April 11, 2026, we’ll set off from Lugano on our bikes, heading east, with the goal of reaching Sydney.

We decided that this journey could be something more than a simple adventure. We want to give a deeper meaning to every kilometre we ride, turning it into a concrete opportunity to help others. That is why we chose to support the association SEED of LIGHT and, in particular, a micro-hydropower plant in Nepal, in the Panchthar District.

SEED of LIGHT is a non-profit association founded in Switzerland in 2025, to promote sustainable and lasting development, in harmony with social and environmental balances. Its projects are born from listening to the real needs of local communities and are carried out in close collaboration with them.

The project in the Panchthar District involves the construction of a 7 kW micro-hydropower plant that will bring electricity and light to 4 villages, benefiting 850 people across 105 households. The total cost of the project is around 30'000 CHF. These villages have asked for our help as the government has never extended basic energy infrastructure to them, leaving them in a state of isolation and hardship. Thanks to this hydroelectric system, the communities will finally be able to access clean, reliable and sustainable energy, paving the way for a better future for the entire population.
