Most of you reading this know who Josh Fohner is. If not, please check out the links below to hear more of his story and understand better why we are All In.
Josh was struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle in Buena Vista, Colorado in July of 2016. He suffered a traumatic brain injury and was given very grim chances of any recovery. I didn't meet Josh before his accident, but have since spent time with him and his incredible family. The Fohner's radiate hope and positivity, spreading the spirit of going "All in" for what life throws at you. We can't explain the quality of people we have met through this story, but Josh's tenacity truly speaks for itself.
The "All in for Josh Tour" has been years in the making, but after months of relentless training and team building, the group is ready to tackle a huge feat. Over the next few weeks, Josh, his family, and his teammates will be riding from the site of the accident in Colorado to his hometown of Springdale, Arkansas. This 908 mile journey will be challenging, but another example of Josh's strength and perseverance.
We have been lucky enough to work with Josh and his team by maintaining their bikes, nutrition, and education as they prepare for the journey. We want to also contribute by rallying our amazing shop community to help spread the word and raise money for his treatment, therapy, and equipment. Josh has been on a long road, but has made amazing progress and is not alone on his journey.
Our goal is to raise $2,500, which Bike Shop Joe's is ready match for a total of $5,000. We would love to hit this goal before the team makes it home!
We will also be accepting donations at the bike shop if you are more comfortable or want to do so in person. If you have any questions at all, feel free to reach out to me personally or through the shop. Please share this story and fundraiser to show the Fohner's we are ALL IN FOR JOSH with them!
