Bike-4-Justice: From birth to childhood, we are dependent on the love, care, and warmth from our mothers. I have personally seen the role of a woman, and the need to ensure that her children are protected. The life of a mother, sister, daughter, auntie, grandmother, and loved one is just as important as a life of another human being. I will be launching this cycling challenge from New York City to San Francisco, coast to coast (~3,600 miles), in hopes of bringing light to the need of supporting women including young girls. It is important to take a holistic approach that incorporates the mental, financial, physical and social emotional well-being. This cycling challenge will be the initiation of a Woman's cycling group in the Southeast Side of Chicago that supports ALL women in learning how to ride a bicycle and work towards building leadership in community. Our social purpose for this ride is to raise funds to initiate the start of this amazing adventure and empower women to step outside of the box.
