Bike Shop Dave's Stroke Recovery Effort

Donation protected
Dave Letourneau is a loving husband to Jen, father of 5 children, and grandfather to 2 young boys. He supports his wife and 2 youngest children, Mark and Renee, who are going to school at UMass Dartmouth and Notre Dame Academy respectively. As his children, we're creating this GoFundMe to help support any related recovery costs including Speech, Physical, and Occupational Therapy as well as living expenses while he recovers from a stroke.

On October 1st Dave was working hard at Rockland Cycle when he experienced a Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA). He was then transported to South Shore Hospital where he suffered a stroke. The prognosis is promising, but currently he is limited to no motor function on the left side of his body. He is expected to make a full recovery, but has a long road ahead of him.

As the owner and sole mechanic at Rockland Cycle, Bike Shop Dave is a lifelong bike enthusiast and has been an involved member of the Rockland community for the past ~25 years. Throughout the years he has been a volunteer for Best Buddies, Boy Scouts, sponsor of local youth sports, and much more.

Dave is in good spirits and is confident in his recovery. We would appreciate any thoughts, prayers or donations for his cause.

Thank you,
Nate, Tim, Tom, Mark, and Renee
