Ride for Peace

My name is Samen Polishchuk, and as you may already know I have a Ukrainian heritage. This summer I plan on biking 430km in France with a group of friends to raise money for humanitarian aid in conflict zones across the world. The journey will start in Niort and finish in Nantes, with camping spots along the way.

 

Due to my background, half of the proceeds will be dedicated towards the nonprofit organisation Support Ukraine London, whom can be found using the following link: https://supportukraine.uk/ . They ship clothes, food and medicine to Ukraine directly.

 

The other half will be donated to Islamic Relief, a charity which operates in 35 countries, primarily distributed in Asia, Middle East and Africa. Its main focus is the access of clean water, food and shelter of those affected by conflict. Although the Ukrainian war is very important to me and impacts me on a personal level, it is important to recognise that there are many wars and conflicts which need to be stopped.
