In July 2020 we welcomed our baby girl, Eloise, into this crazy world. She was 7lb 9oz of pure perfection, who went in for life saving surgery at just 4 hours old, our little heart warrior. Eloise was diagnosed with having CHD (Congenital heart Disease) namely, complex transposition of the great arteries, ventricular septal defect with pulmonary and sub-pulmonary stenosis. This won’t mean much to most people, but in more basic terms it is a life long condition, her little heart will require multiple open heart surgeries throughout her life. We are so fortunate that we live in a day and age where heart conditions like Eloise’s can be managed, and this is all thanks to the pioneering research of the nations heart charity: The British Heart Foundation. This charity helps save lives of all ages with information, patient care and most importantly research to beat heart disease for good. We will be forever grateful that the research the British Heart Foundation has already done and continues to do gives babies like Eloise a chance at living life. Our team are going to cycle 100 miles: from Leicester to Skegness on the 26th June 2021 to support this amazing charity that is so close to all our hearts.
