On September 25th, I'm riding my bicycle with two friends 450 miles to Washington DC to support the “extra mile" community investment model that the Brady Faith Center brings to the Southwest side of Syracuse. We start at our Brady Farm and will bike four 80+ mile days and two 60+ mile days to arrive on the steps of the House of Representatives in six days. I'm excited to ride with good friends and push myself physically and mentally to raise money and awareness of our comprehensive community investment model. Our mission is founded on “kinship” (no “us” and “them” - just “us”) and brings hope through community building and paying jobs, health through food access and healing through increased support services to our neighbors.
