Hi, I'm Kelly and I love bikes. After 18 years of wrenching and the abrupt closing of Chico Bike & Board, I have an opportunity to start and run my own shop. Maybe I've fixed your bike, built you a board, taught your kid how to fix their own flat, or just listened to your big feelings on a bad day? Bike Chef will be a full-service repair and retail shop for bicycles and skateboards. I plan on providing a free open work stand setup for those who want to work on their own projects, as well as youth tutorial sessions, sponsorships, and community events.

Chef Sam and I have worked tirelessly without pay for the past two months in a concerted effort to get this shop up and running, despite numerous hurdles and setbacks. I've spent what I had on setting up the business. What we need now is some capital to stock inventory and continue to cover our monthly costs as things get properly going.

Aside from being a competent and skilled mechanic, I know (as do many of you) that I bring a unique perspective and energy to my profession. The skate, scooter and BMX community deserve a local outlet and I'm here for it. Please support this woman-owned business in a typically male-dominated trade.
