The Bike Boy Scandal – The Final Phase for Justice
After more than a decade seeking answers, Ryan Meuleman and his family are closer than ever to achieving justice. With your help, the final phase of the investigation and legal action can now move forward.
No family should have to spend more than a decade fighting simply to have the truth properly examined.
On 7 January 2013, 15-year-old Ryan Meuleman was almost killed. He was struck by an SUV in Blairgowrie, Victoria, driven by either Daniel Andrews or his wife, Catherine Andrews.
More than a decade later, we have never been closer to achieving justice for Ryan.
What This Campaign Has Achieved So Far
The generosity of Australians has funded the professional legal and investigative work needed to properly examine the events surrounding the crash and pursue accountability through the legal process.
This support has allowed the team to engage experienced legal counsel and professional investigators to examine the evidence properly.
Funds raised are managed carefully and used only for legitimate costs associated with the investigation and legal process. These include legal advice, evidence analysis, investigative work, expert reports, public awareness and community engagement activities, and essential administrative expenses.
None of this would have been possible without small donations from caring Australians.
The Final Phase
Investigations into the crash and the surrounding events continue, as does the public campaign calling on Victoria Police Chief Commissioner Mike Bush to re-open the investigation.
After three years of investigation, our team believes the evidence raises serious questions that should be examined by the appropriate authorities.
And thanks to Bike Boy – The True Crime Podcast, more whistleblowers are coming forward from inside Victoria Police and the Australian Labor Party.
After more than a decade, the finish line is finally in sight.
We must make the most of this opportunity.
Why This Is the Final Phase
This campaign is not open-ended. We are aiming to achieve justice for Ryan within the next year.
We have 12 months to complete this final phase — and we keep going for Ryan’s sake, and for Victoria’s sake.
Ryan and his family have carried this fight for more than a decade.
Justice should never depend on how powerful someone is.
What happens here matters not just for Ryan, but for the standards we expect in Victoria.
How To Help
If you’ve already donated — thank you. You helped get us this far.
If you’re able to contribute again to help us run this final push over the next 12 months, we believe we can win this battle for justice.
Every dollar supports the legal and investigative work required to properly pursue accountability through the legal process.
Even a small contribution helps keep the investigation moving forward.
Many supporters are choosing to contribute again during this final phase to help ensure the investigation and legal work can be completed.
This final phase will make all the difference.
Important Information About Donations
Donations to this fundraiser are voluntary and gratefully accepted in good faith to support the legal and investigative work being undertaken on Ryan’s behalf. Contributions help cover the costs of pursuing these matters properly, including legal advice, evidence gathering, expert reports, public awareness and community engagement activities, and administration.
Legal outcomes cannot be guaranteed, and donations are not conditional on any particular result, including a criminal charge, conviction, or term of imprisonment. In some cases, legal matters may be resolved through settlement or other lawful processes if that outcome is considered to be in Ryan’s best interests.
By making a contribution, donors acknowledge that they are supporting the process and the work required to pursue these matters responsibly, rather than any specific legal outcome. Donations are voluntary and therefore non-refundable.
Statements made on this page reflect the views of the campaign organisers based on information currently available and are intended to support lawful investigation and public awareness.
Thank you for your support.
