Mike Wrona (Big Sexy) has been a beloved bartender at the Temecula Wine & Beer Garden in Temecula, CA for 17 years.



In May 2021, while vacationing with his family in Las Vegas, Mike was witness to an incident where an injured bird fell into the pool. Being ever helpful, Mike assisted hotel staff in removing the bird from the pool and making sure it was safe away from the area.

As he was returning to the pool, a bystander noticed that Mike's feet were injured. It was then that he realized that his feet, having been softened by the pool, had been severely burned on the pool deck.



Mike was taken to the burn recovery unit at the local ER where it was determined that he had 3rd and 4th degree burns across the bottoms of both of his feet.

Now, nearly 2 years later, even with multiple courses of treatments by various doctors and specialists, one foot still isn't fully healed.



To add to the challenge, Mike has recently developed a staph infection in that foot and leg which has been very stubborn against a few attempts to heal the infection.

Big Sexy is in nearly constant pain right now and really needs to take a few weeks off work to focus on healing. He's made progress taking time off before, but is hesitant to do so for as long as he really needs because he has a family to support.
