On November 1, Mark went to the doctor for what he thought would be a routine check-up. Instead, he was immediately admitted to Advent Health Hospital ICU in Orlando, Florida, where he underwent emergency surgery due to a tear in his aorta.
Despite the urgent nature of the surgery, Mark’s recovery has not gone as expected. He remains sedated and on a heart-lung bypass machine, as doctors continue to monitor his condition. His road to recovery will be long, and it is unclear when he will be stable enough to return home.
For Mark and his beloved, Cynnamon, this crisis comes at a particularly difficult time. Both are self-employed, with Mark depending on seasonal work in the music festival industry to support his family.
Mark is not one to ask for help, but his medical bills continue to climb, and with no clear timeline for his return to health, we want to ensure that he and his family can focus on recovery without the added stress of financial hardship.
Anyone who knows Mark knows he is the epitome of selflessness and hard work. He is the kind of person who walks into a room and lights it up with laughter, always putting others before himself. He’s the first to lend a hand or offer support, never asking for anything in return. Now, his family needs the same kind of support.
We are asking for help to support Mark’s recovery and relieve the financial burden on Cynnamon and their daughters during this incredibly challenging time. Mark has always been there for us, and now it’s our turn to be there for him.
Any contribution, no matter the amount, will make a significant difference. Your support will remind Mark that he is not alone—that he has a community that loves him and is fighting with him every step of the way.
