Biggie's Splenectomy

Donation protected
Hi! My name is Molly, and I'm trying to raise money for my most beloved troll of a dog, Biggie. I'm a vet tech in shelter medicine, so I've spent lots of time trying to help raise awareness and money for animals in need, and because of that, I feel very guilty asking for help with one of my own, but I could really use it.
A few months ago, Biggie went to the vet for an abdominal ultrasound for an unrelated issue, and at that time, they happened to find a mass on his spleen. We don't know whether it's benign or malignant right now, but regardless, we're concerned it could rupture and then need emergency surgery or have fatal consequences. Due to the nature of the surgery, Biggie will also need hospitalization for a night or two afterwards, which greatly increases the expense.
Biggie is my absolute best friend in the entire world. He came into my life as a foster dog back in 2009 thanks to the never ending incredible work of Chicagoland Bully Breed Rescue, and has been my ride or die ever since. (My first memory of Biggie was having him walk into the house, looking beat up with a broken hip and various other injuries, and humping me as I sat on the floor to greet him. Obviously, I knew he had to be mine!)
Biggie is currently about 13 years old, and though he's HECKIN old, he's still spunky as can be. People regularly ask me if I mean 13 months when I respond to the question of, "How old is he?" with, "13"! Nevermind the graying spots on his face! He also has a 9 month old "brother" whom he's bonded with fiercely, which is surprising as Biggie has mostly been a reactive dog towards other animals. Biggie's favorite things are people (all of them), sunbathing, plush toys, and eating. He's a very good boy, and I'm convinced he even has a sense of humor, because this dude is hilarious.
To try to deal with this financially on my end, I plan on selling some of my things and taking on extra work. Estimates, with hospitalization, have generally come out to over $4000, some as high as $8000. When I reach the full amount needed to cover the cost, I will promptly end the fundraiser. I know that life is expensive and many people are facing hardships right now, plus there's a constant stream of animals who need the kind of generosity I'm asking for. With that in mind, any help, even sharing my fundraiser, is greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
