Meet Biggie and you will instantly fall in love. You will never meet a sweeter (big) baby boy! On Tuesday, October 13, 2020, Biggie was admitted to the emergency veterinary hospital after 24-hours of not eating, a visit to our primary veterinarian, and after starting to vomit uncontrollably. I barely slept that night, sick with worry, and the next morning I got a call I never expected. Biggie's medical tests came back and he was positive for Parvovirus (Parvo). Parvo is a highly contagious virus. It causes an infectious gastrointestinal (GI) illness in puppies and young dogs, and without treatment, it is potentially deadly. At only 11 months old, Biggie is a lover and the best cuddler around. After an incredibly rough 2019, Biggie came into my life and immediately brought joy, sweetness, and positive puppy energy into our family's world. Our bond was instantaneous - puppy love at first sight.
Biggie has already been through a great deal in his short life. He was one of six surviving puppies in a litter of twelve. He also developed a cherry eye that needed to be surgically corrected and required two surgeries in order to repair. Biggie has also been fully vaccinated, however, he still contracted Parvo - even with the vaccination and follow-up boosters administered at the correct time intervals. Without emergency medical treatment, and sustained treatment to fight the virus, Biggie stood no chance of overcoming this disease. Medical treatment, 24-hour monitoring, vet visits, and follow-up care takes time, and unfortunately, costs a premium. I would do anything for Biggie, and I know he would do the same for me if the roles were reversed.
All of the funds raised will go directly to Biggie's medical bills and be used for follow-up care and treatment. They will also go towards purchasing disinfecting supplies needed to ensure that our house and yard are clean and virus free.

I could also never repay you for your generous contribution, but I can guarantee that once Biggie fully recovers he will continue to spread love to everyone he meets.
