My name is Nick D, and I’m here for one reason and one reason only: I want to be a BBQ billionaire. Our little corner of New England is full of food, but one thing I think we’re missing is genuinely good BBQ; and my way has always been to do things myself if I want it done right, so you know what that means: I’m talking about a real, honest to gd goodness restaurant on wheels. I’m talking about Bigfoot BBQ Company. This has been a dream of mine for a long time, but to make it happen, I need some money.
A little about me: I love 2 things in this world - Big fat riffs and real good food. A couple years ago, I put those two things together and started making homemade sauces for my band to sell in small batches. If you got ahold of a bottle of “Riff Sauce,” then you know that this is for real, so just skip all this reading and give me some money (GIVE ME ALL YOUR MONEY) The sauce was a hit, and it got me thinking: if you’re good at something, you shouldn’t do it for free. And since I was already charging people, I figured it’s time to take it to the next level.
Here’s what I’m asking for: trucks aren’t cheap, so in order to get this operation going, I’m trying to put together as much money as I can to purchase a truck, cover insurance for the first year of operation, and the fees necessary to get Uncle Sam to accept me as the delicious threat to National security that this food will be. If I come in under goal, then I’m taking it straight to the bank as a down payment to grovel for whatever money I need to get things going, and any extra money will be funneled straight into operational costs: supplies and truck maintenance if necessary. Not only will this open up opportunities for regular dining as well as events and catering, but it’ll give me the means to really legitimize my sauce making operation with more varieties of hot sauce as well as homemade BBQ sauces, and a production scale big enough to warrant a full-time online storefront where anyone across the country can buy at any time.
