UPDATE:
As many of you know Big Danny had to have his foot emergently amputated last Friday July 13th. He is in good spirits but has a long road ahead of him. At this moment we are hopefully waiting for approval so he can be sent to a physical rehabilitation center for a couple days. He cannot be fit for a prosthetic for several more weeks until the site heals. The next step in the process is to try and make the house as handicap assessable for him so he has a smooth transition from hospital to home. From the bottom of our hearts, we appreciate everything everyone has done from the phone calls/texts, to even stopping up to see him. We love you all!
Danny Tursi, who is a devoted husband, father, and friend to all stepped on a nail 2 years ago causing an infection in his foot. After many surgeries and hospital stays everyone thought the situation was under control. Last month his wound opened back up and he got another infection. He will have to go through another surgery to try and save his foot, which will leave him out of work for a few months, quite possibly till next year. Although Danny is stable right now his journey in addressing this situation has just begun. A long road to recovery and plenty of unforeseen medical bills are on the horizon. Jessica is doing her best with the situation is trying to keep everything together the best that she can, but with Danny out of work it starting to take a toll on her. The reality is we don’t know exactly what is in store. If the wound doesn’t heal on it’s own then he will probably lose his leg.
Danny is a friend to everyone especially mummer kind . He has been a mummer since the day he was born and is always ready to give a helping hand to any club in need. Now it’s our turn as a mummer community to help him in his time of need. Danny will be out of work for the foreseeable future so anything you can give will help.
