Rascon Family Medical Expenses

Sebastian is a 6 year old, happy, energetic boy!!! He was born with a bilateral ear condition called Microtia/Atresia. Basically, his ear canals and outer ears did not develop. He has worn a hearing aid since he was 2 months old,  and has greatly prospered, in school and in his speech. However, he is getting older and he now talks about getting his "Big Boy Ears"!! He wants to look, and hear, like his big brother Joaquin, and all the other kids.
After a lot of research, Sebastian's parents, Sergio and Monica, have realized the best decision is to have the outer ears constructed with Dr Bonilla in San Antonio, TX, and the ear canals will be built by Dr Roberson in Palo Alto, CA.  The family lives in El Paso, TX, and there are no Doctors in El Paso that can perform these surgeries.
Sebastian has about 9 surgeries ahead of him, which means 9 trips out of town, two of which require a 5 week stay in California, missed work for those trips, recovery time, hotels, rental cars, food, and insurance costs (co pays, out of pocket costs, out of network issues that they are battling). Taking all of these things into consideration, you can see why costs are so high.
We would love to help ease our friend's financial burden, and we hope you can help too.  No amount is too small!  Our goal is to raise $25,000 to help Sebastian get his "Big Boy Ears", and gain hearing without the hearing aid.  Sergio and Monica are amazing parents with a beautiful family,
