Big Wave Dave

As many of you know our dearest friend Dave has established himself in Chiang Mai. He is very happy to be able to fulfill his wish of spending the last few weeks of his life in a place that supports his decision, which is to humbly follow and honor the course of Mother Nature.

Dave is in an incredible place called the McKean Centre, established 100 years ago as a charitable hospital and hospice. Dorien is supporting Dave in this intimate and transitional moment and they are both so grateful to be able to have a group of specialists and doctors assisting them.

Dave has always helped everyone around him unconditionally and with an open heart. He is a living example of generosity. Everyone who knows him can relate to this. Dave and Dorien have lived in Koh Samui for the last few years and both have (and still) make a huge positive impact in our community.

In Thai culture, it is a tradition to financially support the family of the person who is leaving this world, so that they have a smoother transition. This is very practical and supportive in terms of providing help with travelling, medical, funeral and many other expenses. If you would like to make a contribution as an act of gratitude and you would like to make sure Dave is comfortable in his last few days, this is the opportunity to do so.

Dave and Dorien will expand their generosity by supporting the wonderful work of McKean Centre so that others who wish to have a quiet and natural transition can do so as well. Therefore, your donation will finance Dave’s will of contributing for the prosperity of McKean Centre. He would like to support this place where we are still be able to embrace the cycle of Life: Birth, Death and Rebirth.
