YES, please embrace the opportunity to Pay It Forward. Your simple act of kindness now will bolster the creativity, innovation, and agency for countless young thinkers and leaders from the Bay Area. As MOCHA continues to invest in youth and build strong community partnerships, this local mainstay needs our support to continue youth development and arts education programming for the coming year. As a board member who has witnessed MOCHA’s transformative impact on kids, I hope together we can raise $12,000 by the end of October.

From 1989 to today, the belief that art is critical to the development and success of communities has guided MOCHA’s commitment to the children and youth of the East Bay. In the last year alone, MOCHA did not miss a beat in the face of COVID19 and racial injustices brought to reckoning by police killings. To name a few high impact efforts, MOCHA launched its Community Futures School in partnership with CSU East Bay, jumpstarted monthly youth-led public Porch Talks on community empowerment and distributed over 9,000 art kits to local families in the wake of the pandemic.

Through MOCHA's on-site, classroom and library programming, I see MOCHA kids grow in their cognitive development and sense of belonging. Each story is beautiful, and some resonate so powerfully. When young people are immersed in creative activities, the results are profound! With our support, they set and reach goals - like developing VR realities that reimagine a just society - as well as collaborate on imaginative projects with peers and other future innovators.

Would you consider donating any amount - $5 to $5000 - to help us act now to positively impact the future of thousands more local youth? Especially after the emotional, cultural, and educational ravages of the pandemic, your donation will help provide firm social and intellectual footing for the over 30,000 children and 27,000 family members we reach each year.

Personally, thank you for your support!
