Big Rob is in need of some Big Help

hello! My name is Shannon Jones and I am fundraising on behalf of my baby brother, Robert “Big Rob” Jones. Rob has spent the last two weeks (Mar. 31- Apr.13) fighting for his life on a ventilator which was the result of an emergency surgery due to life threatening complications from Severe hernias and bowel blockages. In between emergency surgeries, the medical staff informed us that he could code at any minute but that he had been through too much at that point after the first surgeries and that he wasn’t going to make it. The medical staff told us that, even though his youth, age 32, was definitely on his side, his body has just endured entirely too much for his lungs to work on their own any longer, including the trauma it endured during his 2010 major ATV accident resulting in a 2-month coma, a brand new plastic skull, and a multitude of long-term complications that he has had to not just deal with but fight.

On April 1st, When they called us in to say our goodbyes, we brought our prayer game and came to say our he’s-not-done-yets! What we then saw was, simply put, A MIRACLE!!!!!!! Every day as we rallied prayer, his numbers got better and better and now, Rob is officially off of the ventilator and weening off the OptiFlow! Rob certainly has a long road ahead of him, not knowing how long this recovery is going to take means a lot of things.

We’ve been able to work with his HR at work to protect his job with extending FMLA papers, but he hasn’t received any of his short term disability payments yet and now a whole nother process with that is beginning. On top of the time he’s already missed, it is uncertain when he will be able to work and function like that again. We are hoping to raise funds to help Rob catch up with what he’s missed during his Coma time along with help him get by during his recovery until the paperwork l goes through in what he can benefit from his employer.

Rob has always been the kind of man that would help anyone else without hesitation, and he has a already been through so much. Please, help us help this sweet, hard-working young man as he enters the road to recovery with nothing but his family and his faith in the Lord to heal him and provide for him in these unknown times. Any help would be appreciate!
