Big Ride, Big Cause - PDX to SFO

Donation protected
Want to join us in making a difference? Supporting the fight for social justice, we (Diane, Sara, and Angharad) are raising money to benefit p:ear, a Portland non-profit that serves homeless and transitional youth here in Portland, by cycling 800 miles from Portland to San Francisco on August 13th 2020.

What is p:ear? p:ear builds positive relationships with homeless and transitional youth through education, art and recreation to affirm personal worth and create more meaningful and healthier lives. One of their programs includes a course to learn the basics of bicycle mechanics and prerequisites to entry-level positions in professional bicycle shops. For more information please visit their website.

Why should you donate? In August, we will will be cycling from Portland to San Francisco in 8 days, as both a personal challenge, as well as to raise money for p:ear. We will take the coastal route mostly along Highway 101. In total, the route is 800 miles and 50k feet of climbing!

Thank you so much for considering a contribution to this cause that is leading such important work to uplift members of our community, and motivating us for this challenge!
