"Big Mike's" Courageous Struggle

On Behalf of Mike and Brenda:
My husband Mike Jurich has been fighting failing health for several years now. He turned 62 in August. For those of you who don't know him, he's the type of guy who's not afraid of work and is an advocate and leader of great integrity. His uncompromising adherence to high moral character and sound advice has yielded a highly respected reputation to those who know him. In his humble way, he would help guide anyone who asks; and many do. Many even call him "Dad". His uncanny wealth of knowledge from the "school of hard knocks" is stimulating and inspiring to those who seek him out. His spontaneous humor just leaks out and sometimes even he doesn't know where it came from!
Mike's health has kept him from working the past two years. We have always had high hopes and faith that "this doctor" or "that procedure" would help him or be a turning point to wellness. He's been fighting kidney disease for several years; he's been holding his own for a long time.
In the beginning of June of this year I took him to UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. That's when we came face to face with our new reality and our world stopped. The love of my life got the devastating diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. I am right by his side; I can't and won't leave him. I have not worked since June. Everytime I bring him to the ER he's admitted for weeks on end. I am truly blessed to be promised my job when I am able to go back, or when this journey is over.
He began dialysis a couple of weeks ago so he is no longer a candidate for chemotherapy.
My Mike's days are severely limited and my plate is running over. We are asking for help for medical and living expenses as well as funds to help me pay some debt that was earmarked for his income.
Thank you so much for reading this. Thank you and bless you if you are able to donate. We will truly appreciate every dollar donated.
