Big Mike- Cancer Sucks

Hi, my name is Nicole and I'm starting this GoFund for my mom, Chris Maddox. Many of you know my mom from SC. She's been a resident here for 36 years, volunteer at Twin Lakes Church, local Warriors enthusiast and would give her last few dollars to her brother because he can't make his rent, even though she can barely make her own. She's been on disability for several years with many back surgeries, and is only on Social Security. She is the most selfless woman I know, who's parter of 25 years, Mike Adams, will be gone in a matter of weeks. He was diagnosed 1 year ago with a very rare stage 4 lung cancer, and 8 brain tumors causing stroke like symptoms. Given 1-2 weeks to live without brain surgery, and 6 months- 1yr with surgery, he opted for surgery. After many weeks of PT to learn to talk, walk and use his hands again, he began pin point radiation for the remaining brain tumors and chemotherapy. My mom has been devotedly caring for every aspect of Mikes daily life this past year, hoping for one more week. 3 weeks ago, they we're told the cancer has spread to his pancreas, and the other tumors were no longer responding to treatments. Mike decided to receive palliative care at home for his last few weeks. End of life expenses are adding up, and my moms stared to sell personal items to make ends meet. She most likely will need to move after he passes as she won't be able to afford the rent of their home they've lived in for 24 years. Anything helps. My mom says "God will provide" and I pray she is right.
