Big Lou's epilepsy smackdown

On 21st March, I’ll be taking on an ultra marathon at Alice Holt in Hampshire. I’ll be running a 4 mile (6.7km) loop on the hour, every hour, for 24 hours straight.

That’s 24 laps. 96 miles. One very long day.

I hadn’t originally planned to raise money, because I know how hard it can be to spare even a few pounds at the moment. But I also believe that if you never ask, you never know what’s possible.

I’m choosing to run this challenge to help raise funds in the fight against epilepsy.

My beautiful and strong nephew Louie has faced more challenges in his young life than many of us will ever experience. Epilepsy is the most recent one. Louie is the most loving, determined and courageous boy but seizures can take their toll, not just physically, but emotionally too.

If I can push myself for 24 hours (Big attempt) it feels small compared to what he shows in strength every single day.

If you’re able to spare £5, it would truly make a difference. Every donation, no matter how small, helps support better research, treatment and hope for people like Louie.

Thank you for supporting me - and more importantly, for supporting Louie.
