Help Big Gravy get back on the road

Hi my name is Oscar. Two of my friends and I bought a 1986 Toyota Motorhome about a year ago with the hopes of making it all the way to the west coast and back. We spent most of this year fully renovating the interior to make it feel like a home. That process took a lot longer than we anticipated but after months of hard work we were finally ready to get on the road. We started the trip by spending a weekend in Acadia to make sure everything worked as it should, and all things considered it was all great. We then drove home to do a final pack up and say bye to all our families. Now it was finally time to start the big adventure. It began with a weekend in Boston where we stayed with a friend at BU. For our second stop we went to Jersey to visit another hometown friend at Drew University. Then we had plans to spend the night at a little campground next to Niagara Falls. But about halfway through the drive from Jersey to the Fall our engine decided it had enough. Out of nowhere we heard a horrible metallic clanging sound. And I could feel some serious knock back through the gas pedal. Every light on the dash turned on and the engine died. We pulled over on the highway and tried to start it but there was nothing. It wouldn’t even turnover once. The engine was completely seized. Luckily we have AAA so we were able to get a tow to a local garage nearby but there was nothing they could do for us. We had to find a way to tow Big Gravy from western New York back to midcoast Maine. And that we did but it was not easy on the pockets. Now that it’s back home we need to find a new/used engine to replace the old one. We are reaching out to ask for $5000 to help us buy the replacement engine and to boost us to where we left off on the trip. Any amount is greatly appreciated and will go directly into kickstarting this road trip. Thank you so much!
