Whether you called her Grandma or Nita or Steve and Tracy's mom, she impacted every life she touched.

The journey was long and the road rough, but in the end Nita Petersen was one tough cookie. She looked death in the face and fought hard against the bastard that is cancer. On October 15th, at 10:16 am, Nita's pain ended.

Now, faced with the grief of losing their matriarch, the family is also burdened with the astronomical cost of burial.

To honor Nita's last wishes, she will be buried at Fresno Memorial Gardens beside her son.

With a paired down service, low cost casket, and mandatory fees, the family is faced with a bill exceeding $10k. Not including medical bills and other final expenses.

To offset this incredible burden, we the family are humbly asking all those who loved Nita, our family, or just hate cancer and the ridiculous cost of death, for help.
