On behalf of the Manlapit Ohana - IN LOVING MEMORY OF BIG DANZ

With heavy hearts, we share the devastating news that our beloved Daniel Kainalu Manlapit-Degrandis — affectionately known as “Big Danz” — tragically lost his life in a fatal accident on the morning of June 18, 2025, while on his way to work. He was only 22 years old, with a bright future and a heart full of love for his ‘ohana and friends.

This is a call no mother should ever receive — the unimaginable loss of her son.

Big Danz was a proud father to his 10-month-old baby girl, Anela-Marie. He leaves behind his loving partner, Kayla Fernandez, five sisters, two brothers, and his heartbroken parents. His sudden passing has left a deep void in the lives of everyone who knew and loved him.

He was known for his big heart, infectious smile, and love for the simple joys of life — fishing, hunting, burning rubbah, and spending time with his ‘ohana and friends. He lived loud, loved deeply, and left us far too soon.

This memorial fund has been created to help ease the financial burden on his family during this heartbreaking time. Donations will go toward funeral expenses, outstanding and medical costs
