Big 8 Radio 2025 Fundraiser

Hi, It's Charlie O'Brien from Big 8 Radio and it's a brand new year. As always we count on you our listeners and are grateful for your continuing support.

Our goal is $2700US which is approx. $4000Canadian dollars. The GoFundMe campaign will show in Canadian funds.

Our monthly costs include radio webstreaming costs of the Oldies Stream. The budget for the year is $199US ($300 Can) per month. This also can be higher - depending on monthly listenership as the majority of the payment is or artist royalties. At Big 8 Radio we want to stream legally and make sure artist royalties are paid. We have had several months in 2024 where we went over budget with high listenership. Simply put for streaming - the more listeners - the higher monthly cost.

Also domain name registration, webhosting for the Big8radio.com website are costs to cover.

We are into year 6 of providing the web with the best CKLW Big 8 Radio tribute site.
