Brewery Fund

Hi! We are Tyler and Anna Bier. As most of you know, we have been working as Northern Michigan potters for more than 10 years, what you might not know is that for the past 3 years we have been sculpting a new idea. We have been busy creating another business on the same grounds as our family's well-established Bier Art Gallery and Pottery studio. Just a short walk "up the hill" from the Gallery will be .....curious?..... a Brewery!

Set perfectly above rolling farm hills and an apple orchard, the Brewery's location offers a panoramic view of what makes Charlevoix, and all of Northern Michigan so unique. Beautiful sunsets over Lake Michigan can be enjoyed daily without fail with outdoor seating and relaxed indoor seating as well. Not only will tourists and visitors be drawn in for a cold beer, or Michigan wine (if beer isn't your thing) and lake views but locals and friends will also appreciate more of what their community has to offer and lake views from our "Eagle's Nest" vantage point.

Tyler is an avid homebrewer who struck liquid gold early on with his inventive and refreshing beer recipes. Maybe it has to do with his last name?  It Most likely has to do with years of extensive research on yeast, grain, water, temperature, timing and so on..... and countless experimental batches of beer he has brewed on equipment that he built himself.

Bier's Inwood Brewery became a very exciting idea and eventually a reality through our personal investments and Tyler's brother Ryan and his wife Sara. With Ryan's initial funding we were able to purchase our brewing system and other industrial components of brewing. Tyler's parents, Ray and Tami Bier, also played an important role in the Brewery's existence as the building the brewery occupies was once their residence, built by Tyler's Grandpa and Uncle 19 years ago.

We have pushed through some of the harder, or time consuming aspects of starting a brewery from local to state and federal approval and licensing. With this said, the funds we have yet to raise will go towards the many construction projects the house still has to undergo in order to be a commercial building and accessible to all. These projects include fire safety, an additional bathroom, support beams, a new parking lot and deck just to name a few.

We can almost taste the beer in our glasses! With your help we can make this final push towards owning and operating a Brewery in this amazing time of beer and wine enjoyment and to serve the ever expanding group of craft beer enthusiasts and aficionados.

To show our appreciation of any size of donation, we would like to offer a custom pint glass or ceramic beer glass with our logo on it, hand-thrown on the potter's wheel by Tyler himself, to be picked up at the Brewery anytime after opening Spring 2018. Or recieve all of the gifts as well as the opportunity to be an assistant brewer for a day! We are just off of U.S 31, six miles south of Charlevoix. 17959 Ferry Rd. Charlevoix MI 49720
