A tragedy has struck the Bryan family, a lifelong family of Lowell, Massachusetts.

My younger cousin, Jarad Bryan was struck by a vehicle early yesterday morning while riding his bicycle in Long Beach California.

As a result of the accident, Jarad was left in critical condition, he is in a coma and his road to recovery is uncertain. The left side of his face has been completely crushed around the orbital area. He has a broken hip, leg, arm and is bleeding from his brain.  The extent of any brain damage he may have suffered cannot be determined at this time.

Because this was a hit and run, there is no way for the at fault driver to be financially responsible, so that responsibility will be left with our family.

The immediate need is to alleviate the burden of travel expenses, as his mom and other family members are trying to get there to be together as a whole and at Jarad’s side. The last thing they should need to worry about is the burden of the expense of travel, or risking someone not being able to be there due to financial hardships.

Being such a large, close knit family, I’m not sure what the campaign goal should be, so we will start with what I have here, and keep going if we should surpass it.  Not only will this help with the travel, but also to help him with the medical bills he will have during his recovery.

Jarad is an accomplished fashion model, actor, photographer and stone mason. He is a vibrant, free-spirited young man. He is deeply compassionate and his friends and family can speak volumes about his endless generosity and the light he exudes everywhere he goes. He is a strong young man, with his whole entire life ahead of him, and we wish to support him in this great time of need.
