Dear Friends, Family, and Global Supporters,
The world's most brilliant young legal minds are gathering at the University of Oxford this coming April. The Bicolanos have earned a seat at the table.
Through rigorous comparative research and an unbreakable spirit, the Ateneo de Naga University Price Team has officially qualified for the International Rounds of the Monroe E. Price Media Law Moot Court Competition! We will compete at the Bonavero Institute of Human Rights at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom from 13 to 17 April 2026.
We made history at the Asia Pacific Regional Rounds by becoming the very first team from the Bicol Region and South Luzon to advance to this international stage. We are incredibly proud to be one of only seven teams representing the Asia Pacific region. We are also one of only four teams representing the Philippines. Our advocates tackled highly complex legal issues involving the right to privacy and freedom of expression in the digital age, where Euphrasia Mae Therese Bon secured the 2nd Best Oralist Award and Faham Zachriel Abiog the 9th Best Oralist Award.
The team is composed of Faham Zachriel Abiog, Euphrasia Mae Therese Bon, Franzine Shane Cloza, John Carlo Nolasco, Rio Theodore Rodriguez, Renee Isabelle Natividad, and Rollie Visitacion. We have prepared relentlessly under the expert mentorship of our Coach, Atty. Karlo Emmanuel Barde, and our Advisor, Atty. Aloysius Francis Bresnan.
We are reaching out for your partnership as we prepare for this historic journey. All funds raised through this campaign will be utilized exclusively for the payment of reasonable expenses to cover the cost of travel and subsistence for our team. We are seeking assistance to cover three critical areas.
1. Transportation and Mobility: Moving an eight-person delegation safely from London Heathrow Airport to Oxford is a massive undertaking. We are raising funds for reliable group transit. This includes comprehensive passes provided by the Oxford Bus Company and coverage for our daily commutes to the competition area. This funding will also help us secure a local standby vehicle. Hiring a van from Oxfordshire providers ensures our team remains agile, punctual, and fully focused on our strict courtroom schedules.
2. A Call for "Tahanan" and Food Hostings: We humbly knock on the doors of the vibrant Filipino diaspora in the United Kingdom. In the true spirit of Filipino hospitality, we warmly welcome any offers for food hostings. Sharing a traditional meal with you will significantly help us manage our daily subsistence costs in a high-cost city. It will also give our students the comforting feeling of home while we are thousands of miles away. Please reach out if you or your organization would like to sponsor or host a meal for the team.
3. Daily Expenses: Your contributions will go directly toward the comprehensive costs of our visit to ensure a safe and fully supported stay. This includes our daily nutritional needs and expenses.
We invite you to partner with us in this journey. You can empower students from the provinces to shine globally through a financial contribution or by simply sharing this campaign link with your network.
Thank you for your generosity and your profound belief in our students. We are truly grateful to you for helping us showcase the excellence, dignity, and indomitable spirit of a Filipino advocate on the world stage.
Ad majorem Dei gloriam!
With our deepest gratitude and respect,
The 2026 ADNU Price Media Law Moot Court Team
