BiBi needs help to be able to breathe and survive

Bianca, 3 years old, was born with a rare arteriovenous malformation located on the right upper Cranio-cervical-thoracic area.

The tumor is blocking her from breathing correctly, eating properly and having a normal childhood.

Her life is in permanent danger as any traumatism could generate an uncontrolled hemorrhage.

Bianca's case was studied by lots of doctors but no cure has been found until today.

In 2022 a hospital in Turkey proposed a surgery for Bianca, along with several embolization procedures to eliminate the tumor.

In November 2022 she was seen by a committee of doctors; after all the investigations it was finally decided that she cannot have the surgery. Bianca cannot have a tracheostomy, there is a high risk of hemorrhage post-surgery that will put her life in danger.

In April 2023, an MRI was possible for the first time in Romania. After more then 1 year of Sirolimus treatment, the tumor slightly regressed and the intubation was possible for the procedure to happen in safe conditions. We hope to obtain high definition images of the tumor, that could help doctors to build a new treatment plan.

In June 2023, Bianca will be seen by a committee of doctors in München-Germany. Again, we start to have hope that a solution will be found for her.

We need financial support, the costs of investigations are really high. For the next visit in Germany, the estimations are at 40 000 E (only the investigations, not the treatment)
