Biba in Tromso for Red Cross

Hello,

On the Summer Solstice this coming Saturday I will be running the night time marathon up here in Tromso, Norway (circled orange). It starts at 8pm and the sun is not going to set at all (midnight sun) so I will get very tired but also maybe go… very crazy?

I’m using it to raise for the Red Cross for Gaza relief. Funds are funnelled through the PRCS and the ICRS carrying out essential humanitarian aid, ambulance work, psychological aid and support facilitating contact between separated family members.

In the most unimaginable time, with such limitations to aid and such great suffering, these organisations are on the ground (one of the few humanitarian organisations with such presence and reach on the ground at the moment) doing everything they possibly can, with 30+ of whom having lost their lives while doing so. The two Red Cresent workers killed trying to rescue little Hind Rajab is an unfathomably painful example of the bravery of these workers in their efforts to alleviate the unimaginable suffering we are witnessing.

This aid looks like: 1.6+ million relief items so far, health services, facilitating multiple hostage release operations, facilitating medical evacuations, providing food and water, emergency healthcare - wide ranging essential support that brings hope and humanity.
