Donate to help Bianca Fight Breast Cancer!!

Hi! For those who don’t know me, my name is Alisa. I’ve started this fundraiser for my beautiful sister Bianca- a local hair extraordinaire, runner, doting mum to furbaby Duke, and loving wife to John. She is embarking on the fight of her life against invasive breast cancer.

Bianca was diagnosed recently after finding a lump in her breast and now, at 45, needs a double mastectomy and ongoing treatment to save her life.

And because the universe gives the toughest challenges to her strongest soldiers, Bianca’s husband, John, is also facing his own serious health battle, recently undergoing surgery.

Although the public health system has their medical needs covered, Bianca is facing having to close her business – Plaza Haircutters at Arundel Plaza Shopping Centre – while she undergoes cancer treatment, leaving her without an income while John, who usually helps others find their independence and dignity as a disability support worker, is also out of work due to his own health issues.

The associated costs of treatment (travel, parking and pharmaceuticals to name a few) combined with the current cost-of-living crisis and being unable to work is putting a significant strain on Bianca and John at a time when they really need to be able to focus on getting better.

To be honest, they are absolutely overwhelmed – as anyone would be in the same situation – and that’s why we want to get behind them to reduce the burden and support them through their challenges.

They are longtime Coomera locals and Bianca and John are very much-loved, well-known to many in the area where they walk their beloved Duke, train for the next Gold Coast half marathon (Bianca) and tinker with their classic F100 car (John).
