Julian's Journey

Below is the summary I wrote during COVID and my initial fundraising journey. That request raised about $2,300 of which I have planted directly into my Julian's Journey account. I'm a little closer to my goal and I hope and pray with my birthday coming up that someone will gift me with a million dollars. Until then, if everyone in the world sends me a dollar, or if ten people sends me a hundred thousand, or if anybody sends me any amount, then I can stop begging and make this film - LOL. I love you all.

Below is a short blurb about the story.
Synopsis: Over 14 years ago, Georgia Jacobs was a 38-year-old, overworked woman with a devoted husband and a strong desire to have a baby. After a few miscarriages, fertility drugs, and a failed IVF, Georgia had given up on that dream. Tragically, on the night that she had shared a romantic evening with Simon, her husband, Georgia is sexually assaulted by an unknown perpetrator. She later discovered that she was pregnant, but who was the father?

In a nutshell, this is the emotional story of a complicated relationship between a mother and her son. This is JULIAN'S JOURNEY - named after my amazing Godson who was born with health issues that seemed impossible to overcome - now he's a 6'1 superstar playing basketball and making the world know his name...JULIAN.

My Production Company is Riteworks Productions:
Riteworks Productions is an artist-led production company, which aims to produce and develop original and classic material for stage and screen while encouraging artistic expression through education, diversity and entertainment. The idea is to provide dynamic visionary results while highlighting consistent abilities in organization and bringing stimulating performances to viewers. Often producing screen, theatrical and musical productions, we also specialize in educational and corporate workshops geared toward social development and issues in today’s society. Our quest is to provide stimulating and thought-provoking entertainment for an ever-changing global market as well as assist in the elevation of the creative process.

The Cast & Crew of Riteworks Productions current film projects, as well as future productions, would like to thank all who have supported us over the years and we look forward to bringing you many more years of family entertainment.

I would like for us to raise enough money to shoot a feature, however, unless someone has a few million dollars that can be spent CREATIVELY, then I'm going to keep asking for donations until I get enough to shoot a feature.

I've had many wonderful and amazing experiences as I cultivate my passion for filmmaking. I have published poetry, short stories, and written and produced stage plays in Chicago. I was a professional model, a flight attendant, and I even flew a Cessna. I have a BFA from Chapman University and an MFA from the American Film Institute - AFI. I have several award-winning films, had photos exhibited at MOLAA, played basketball in high school, did a movie with Oprah, I am a Professor at Pepperdine University. and I won an Emmy. I guess I've had some pretty interesting experiences. BUT, there's one thing I want to do more than anything right now - shoot a feature and I need your help.

The New Year and my birthday are in a few days. I want to start the year off with pre-production and some beautiful money to make a beautiful film.

Please make a donation of any amount and be a part of this amazing journey.

To those who took the time to read our post, we thank you so very much. You are the wind beneath our wings and the collaborator to our dreams. We look forward to watching amazing films, discussing what motivates character and story, and creating dynamic relatable experiences on screen. We love and appreciate your support and thank you for always encouraging us to live our lives on PURPOSE.

Decisions, decisions, decisions - so many decisions have to be made. The lighting has to shine on the character's dissolution. The set has to reflect the narrative of the character's plight, the camera angles must capture the character's emotional angst. The sound MUST reflect the character's inner rhythm.

Making a film can be an awesome exploration into life. This is truly a labor of LOVE.

Please help us continue to make this dream a reality.
