"Remote but Not forgotten "

Dr. Tenzin, a dedicated dentist, is driven by the urgent need to address the issue of inequitable access to oral health care in Bhutan. In a country marked by its mountainous terrain, certain pockets of people remain out of reach, underserved and in need of care. Dr. Tenzin recognized this disparity and felt a calling to make a meaningful difference. Instead of confining himself to a clinic, he took to trekking with portable dental treatment equipment, ensuring that no terrain was too difficult to traverse in his quest to provide essential dental care to those in remote areas. Fueled by a deep-seated belief in social equality, Dr. Tenzin felt compelled to further his contribution to the community. Consequently, he made the decision to step away from his role as a dentist within the civil service, seeking new avenues through which to effect positive change.
