Help Support Our Mom

Donation protected
Hello Everyone,

We are Ally, Evan and Chris, and we are reaching out to you with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits. Our much-loved mom, Paula, has recently been diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the “A-Hole”, a type of anal cancer. This news has been incredibly tough for our family, but we are determined to support her through this challenging journey.

Our mom is a fighter, and she is ready to take on the battle against cancer with all her strength. Her treatment plan includes a combination of chemotherapy and radiation therapy, known as chemoradiation. This is a common and effective approach, but it requires frequent trips to the hospital in Moncton.

To add to our challenges, our dad, Danny, recently fell off a roof and broke both of his heels. He has been laid up and unable to work since January, which has made our financial situation harder. He has just recently started walking with crutches, but it will be some time before he can return to work.

Our mom, Paula, works tirelessly to give back to the community. She is a beloved Administrative Assistant at North and South Esk Elementary School, where she is cherished by students and staff alike. She is actively involved in NSE Food Services and the Josie Foundation, a local charity that raises money for people going through health issues. Additionally, she has previously helped with other organizations like MYPIE (Miramichi Young Professionals & Involved Entrepreneurs), WOMEN, Sunny Corner Girl Guides and our parents were the founders of the ROOF project where families in the Miramichi received a new free roof.

Mom also loves her animals, especially her dog Saylor and she has 3 cats: Stevie, Charlie and Chester. Mom loves her grandfur babies too, Nettie, Phat, Max and Felix. She loves visits from them.

Despite being a private person, our mom has a strong relationship with God, which gives her immense strength. Mom believes in the power of prayer, and knows that there are many people praying for her. She also has a wonderful sense of humor and has even named her cancer "Jerry" (Jerry the A-Hole) to make light of a difficult situation. Yes, you read that right, our Cancer Princess is fighting Jerry with everything she's got!

Our mom has always been there for us and for so many others in our community. She is a thoughtful and caring person who has touched the lives of many (and who has recently become warm and fuzzy). Now, it’s our turn to be there for her.

We understand that times are tough for everyone, but any contribution, no matter how small, will make a huge difference in our mom’s fight against cancer. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this campaign with your friends and family. Your support and prayers mean the world to us.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and generosity. With gratitude and love to our parents Paula and Danny.
