Birmingham to Louisiana

My name is Felix Todd and I am creating this page in support of an effort by Matthew Allen. (We are in Hoover, AL)

Getting a truckload of items from Birmingham area for Lousiana flood relief. Renting a 20 foot trucks and loading with supplies. Funds to defray truck rental and gas cost. Supplies and effort to be all donated.

The donations we are receiving online and in person are going to pay for the rental truck and fuel. Any donations we receive beyond those costs will be used to buy more items for donation. My plan was to buy those items here and take them with other donated items.

8/22/2016 updated goal to 1500 to reflect current rental and gas estimate

Goal is to have truck in motion by 8/27

The first truck is in place for collections.  Hoover Public Safety Center on Valleydale Road. Now, to get volunteers to work shifts.

$534 for the truck rental if we return it next Monday; got a better weekly rate of $290, plus $200 for estimated 800 miles round trip, plus taxes.
