Most people who know us know that we work with Sunrise Development Foundation in China, and know how much respect and admiration we have for the ladies who tirelessly work taking care of the babies in the Infant Care Room of Kunming Orphanage, one of Sunrise's five current projects.
Here, the babies have all their basic needs met as well as their greater need for love, attention and stimulation.
Here, our staff give this and more to the babies without complaint, day after day.
So much without complaint, that you - like we were until very recently - are probably completely unaware of the abhorrent living conditions of their dormitories.
Ceilings falling in, kitchens half fallen off the walls, stoves randomly shooting flames at dangerous angles.
After these women finish long shifts caring for 30+ children with special needs, this is the environment they come 'home' to everyday.
We want to raise this amount in the next 2 months to make the necessary repairs needed for their home to become liveable again.
Lets be honest, after a hard days' work, we're all grateful for a good home to go back to. Few work as hard as these ladies. Let's work on giving them a home that goes some way to reflect that.

Thank you in advance for giving and sharing this post, it means more than you're ever likely to know.
