Tommy’s Journey

Tom is a 25 year old from Brisbane, Australia who was living in London since July of 2022. For those who don’t know Tom he is a kind hearted larrikin who just started his dream career as a paramedic in London.

On January 29th, Tom was involved in a serious incident leaving him with multiple injuries including a fractured back and spinal cord injury at the T12 vertebrae level. He has paralysis from the waist down and is unable to walk.

Tom has spent the last 3 months in a London hospital allowing his body to heal and starting his recovery process. His progress so far has been nothing short of amazing. Despite his injuries, Tom continues to be so determined and positive.

Last week Tom was medically repatriated home to Brisbane at a cost of more than $35,000 to commence his time in a spinal injury rehabilitation unit. This is just a fraction of the costs associated with Tom’s care and those expected into the future.

We are hoping this GoFundMe will assist Tom in his recovery, gaining access to support he may require and setting him up for a successful and independent future.
