Hi neighbors,
Some of you may have seen the fire department in our neighborhood early this morning. Our neighbors, the Bhandaris, suffered a house fire, caused by a basement shop light battery that exploded. The family is fine but very shaken.
Due to the fire in the basement and smoke damage throughout the house, almost everything is damaged or lost. We, their neighbors, would like to put out a request to anyone in the neighborhood for anything that you could share with them to make the next few months bearable. Due to the hail storm, we all know how long some insurance claims and repairs can take.
We would be happy to collect any Target, grocery, or Costco gift cards for them to replace clothes and food. Many of their 3 year old son’s toys were damaged, so clothes and toys for him would be appreciated. He loves Paw Patrol, construction and emergency vehicles, robots, and outdoor toys. Also, this gofundme campaign is available for monetary gifts.
We have taken care of lawn care and plant watering. If you can think of any other non-monetary way that you would like to help, let us know and we can organize.
They are planning to stay with family temporarily until they find other lodging. As a result, gift cards for food might be more helpful than prepared meals.
We thank you for taking the time to read this and for any and all help you can give.
