My name is Kim and I have created this Gofundme account to help a fellow yogi sister who is in great need of our assistance. This yogini has requested that her name not be listed on this, but I will tell you a bit about her.
This yogi has touched the lives of many teachers and students throughout her career and is considered one of the most knowledgeable, kind, and giving teachers in our area. She has given her time and energy to others, even when she really had none to give. She believes that the way to cure all that ails the world is through love and service. So, it is time for us to rally around her and be of service to her and show her our love and appreciation.
She has been struggling with an unkown illness for awhile, has had a plethora of tests, visited the emergency room MANY times, and is now unable to work. She did continue to work, even though she was terribly ill, for as long as possible. As many of you reading this know, yoga teachers do not get paid if they aren't working. She has drained her life savings to pay for her co-pays, co-insurance, naturopaths and other tests/alternative healing modalities that are not covered by insurance.
At this point, she has no money to pay her expenses for the upcoming month and is in need of another round of tests to continue to try and figure out what is wrong with her body.
I can assure you that the person we are rallying for is a true gem and has had a tremendous impact on the yoga community in Arizona. We need her to get back to health so that she may continue her work in this field.
